Objectives:
Installation of 2-5 creative illuminations installations across Roubaix’s city centre and emerging neighbourhoods, all within walking distance.
These immersive installations will reframe forgotten urban landmarks in a poetic and creative way. The installations will be primarily located in the city centre, and extend to nearby emerging neighbourhoods such as Alma, Epeule, and the station area. The walking routes developed around the installations will help to build links between different parts of the city for a balanced development.
Co-creation workshops will allow citizens to shape both the content of the mapping and the experience, reclaiming ownership over their urban environment. Artists, scenographers, technicians, stage managers, and digital creators will gain visibility and new professional opportunities in Roubaix. Students from major local artistic/creative schools such as ESAAT, Pôle 3D, and Pictura will also be involved in designing the video installations, gaining hands-on experience in a professional context.
